TN School District Selects MobyMax After Demonstrated Success in Local Schools
March 29, 2021- MobyMax, the most widely adopted differentiated learning solution in the U.S., announced today that, after implementing MobyMax at two area elementary schools, Hamilton County Schools (HCS) in Chattanooga, TN has purchased MobyMax for all of its 30,000 K-8 students. The district intends to replicate the success Alpine Elementary School and Lookout Valley Elementary have already achieved, thanks to MobyMax.
“We’ve been more than thrilled with the unprecedented growth and success our students have enjoyed using MobyMax,” said Dr. Kelley Weiss, School District Director of Special Projects. “We can’t wait to make MobyMax available to all of our students.”
Teachers at Alpine Elementary agree. They particularly value the way MobyMax pinpoints missing skills while enabling students to work at their own pace. Students can also work together as a team. Either way, Moby’s unique approach to teaching and learning spells success for schools, students, and teachers.
“I absolutely love MobyMax!” said Kathryn Jefferis of Alpine Crest Elementary School. “The students love it too! The lessons are engaging, and the game time is a bonus to keep the students working hard and on track. MobyMax is great for independent practice time!”
It also helps target standards so teachers can see what levels their students are at, saving both teachers time and worry throughout the school day, while making that day fun and engaging for all.
“I have been using MobyMax for several years now. It is a tool I use for differentiated instruction, fact fluency practice, and to reinforce practice with standards I am teaching in the classroom. MobyMax has been one of the most used tools for my classroom during virtual learning. I am very grateful that my school has been using MobyMax to help supplement learning. I know it makes a difference,” said teacher Ellen Bell of Alpine Crest Elementary.
Like many school districts across the U.S., HCS was seeking an adaptive program that met three essential criteria: it was aligned to state standards, easy for teachers to use, and effective in helping students succeed.
“Moby proved to boost student achievement,” Weiss reports. “We saw Alpine Elementary students score very well across the district in 1st and 2nd benchmarks. The school was performing so well in assessments because [MobyMax] was added as tiered support.
“It worked great as supplement lessons to fill in gaps. Plus, the students had access to varied lessons, which was a huge benefit.”
“More and more school districts are following in Hamilton’s footsteps,” said MobyMax co-founder Wade Willett. “They start with just a few schools, but then expand district-wide once they see how MobyMax helps them succeed.” MobyMax is being used in 82% of schools nationwide, which includes 28 million students.
MobyMax helps struggling learners quickly catch up to grade level and closes learning gaps for all students.
Moby Learning, Moby Quick Checker, Moby Interactive, and Moby Engagement are all award-winning components of MobyMax, creating the most effective solution to find and fix learning gaps.
MobyMax is used in more than 82% of all K-8 schools in the United States, with over 28.7 million students and 1.5 million teachers registered.
