May 21, 2020 - MobyMax, the most widely adopted differentiated learning solution in the US., was named a 2020 SIIA CODiE Award winner in four categories:
- Best Mathematics Instructional Solution for Grades PK-8
- Best STEM Instructional Solution for Grades PK-8
- Best Summative Assessment Solution
- Best Use of Emerging Technology for Learning in Education
The prestigious CODiE Awards recognize the companies producing the most innovative education technology products across the country and around the world. It is the only peer-recognized program in the business and ed tech industries. MobyMax, which is used by more than 82% of all K-8 schools in the U.S., was the only edtech company to win four CODiE Awards in 2020.“Just one CODiE Award win validates a product’s innovation, vision, and overall industry impact,” said MobyMax co-founder Glynn Willett. “To win four in one year inspires us to continue to be the ground-breaking leader in edtech that we have become.
“It is especially meaningful to be recognized in a year that required us to pivot overnight to help teachers keep teaching when their schools switched to online learning exclusively,” said Willett. In March, as soon as the Coronavirus pandemic started forcing school closures, MobyMax began offering its products free to all schools affected. To date, 5,634 schools have taken advantage of Moby’s offer.
MobyMax has been winning CODiE Awards since 2017, for achievements ranging from Best Pre-K/Early Childhood Learning Solution to Best Education Cloud-Based Solution to Best Learning Capacity-Building Solution. In 2020, MobyMax was an award finalist in 13 total categories.
Judges from previous awards programs have consistently lauded MobyMax for its technological prowess, ease of use, educational effectiveness, and accessibility.
“MobyMax is an excellent software for students and even homeschool students to use,” said one judge. “It is very interactive and makes learning fun! I highly recommend it and will use it for my children for their homeschool needs!”
“This is a wonderful solution that is much needed in the market,” said a third judge. “I love that it has the Learning, Assessments, Interactive, and Real Rewards and how it solves the real problem teachers face around skill gaps and differentiated content.”
MobyMax won plaudits from the CODiE awards judges for being so effective at increasing student performance.
“The MobyMax suite of applications is very comprehensive, informative, and user friendly. The contents, games, and reward systems are great motivators for students to work within the application,” praised one judge. “MobyMax would be a great addition to any K-8 curriculum to assist teachers and administrators with monitoring student progress and achievement of standards.”
“Congratulations to the 2020 Edtech CODiE Award winners,” said SIIA President Jeff Joseph. “The COVID-19 pandemic reminds us of the importance of innovative Edtech products and services, and this year’s class takes a special place among the many amazing products recognized across the 35-year history of the CODiE Awards.”
The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the principal trade association for the software and digital content industries, announced the full slate of CODiE winners during an online winner announcement on Monday, May 20.
An SIIA CODiE Award win is a prestigious honor, following rigorous reviews by expert judges including educators and administrators whose evaluations determined the finalists. SIIA members then vote on the finalist products, and the scores from both rounds are tabulated to select the winners.
